"Testing improves methodology. It allows for the evaluation and improvement of training protocols and prevents overtraining."

Do Your Athletes Measure Up?
Less than 1% of America’s 7.5 million high school athletes had the opportunity to participate in a nationwide standardized athletic test last year. Why? Because athletic testing is being left largely to market forces whose main objective is to sell apparel, training, or nutritional supplements rather than establish a comprehensive national system of valid and reliable testing protocols. Most coaches, trainers and recruiters recognize the importance of objective testing as a key component in talent identification. It is a concept used successfully in many countries and one used increasingly in the US for all major sports.
Basic Athletic Measurement (BAM), attended the NBA 2009 Rookie Combine as the official testing service provider. The NBA was so impressed with our technology and administration, we have been invited back every year since. Our involvement is to specifically upgrade testing reliability and data collections to provide NBA teams enhanced analysis of their top draft prospects.
BAM is exclusively focused on testing, built on the foundation of standardization. We strive to maintain the highest standards by using new and proprietary technology to provide unique testing reliability, validity and verification. Gathered data is available for categorization and comparison that is both unbiased and secure.
BAM’s testing protocols assess specific athletic indicators such as Speed, Agility, Power, and Core Strength, and help establish benchmarks, improve goal setting, and assist in refining training methodologies.
